Memes en Español

I recently came across Memes en Español and bookmarked it to use for next year since we are about to enter our exam period. It is a very simple set-up with a meme and 3 accompanying questions in Spanish. I can see myself using these to start class off to get my students talking and in the mood to communicate. It may be a bit challenging for my first year class, but with a little tweaking of the questions, I'm sure I can still use it with them.

Here is the (comical) May 20th entry.

#SituacionIncomodaCuando

I wanted to ease my students back into the swing of things so instead of jumping head first into the Subjuntive (eek!), we had a little fun.
I compiled a series of tweets about #SituacionIncomodaCuando which they had to go through and understand. We then voted on the top 3 most awkward ones. And finally each student had to come up and write their own tweet on the board.
Here is a shot of the sheet. Get in touch if you'd like the pdf version.
